Can from The Robin Hood Hotel. Pours a hazy, yet bright gold with a small frothy white head that laces well. Caramel and bread malts dominate the aroma, with hints of earthy hops and grapefruit pith. The bitter front palate shows off the earthy English hops, leading into an enormous malt bill, full of luscious caramel and bread. Finishes with a moderate grapefruit bitterness.
A beautifully balanced English style IPA (my preferred IPA style) made by Yanks. I wish more brewers would make these beers instead of always having to assault you with mouth puckering hops. Cheers to a pure IPA.
