Taking it back to the old school this arvo. My very first dark ale from years ago that was a big reason for getting involved in the craft beer industry. Pours a dark black with subtle smokey malty back notes. It’s pure delight this beer, fantastic in winter and highly sessionable, especially when it’s on tap. It’s a reference point for a well made dark ale that has stood the test of time. Grab this or Monteiths black beer if you are considering getting into dark ipas or porters. Hopefully their recent purchase by a Japanese concern wont affect their ability to keep making great brews! Cheers!
