As a home-brewer, I’m always looking for inspiration from breweries. This is a triple IPA from Sierra Nevada. It pours near-clear and golden from the bottle.

Sporting a smooth malt backbone that balances well, with a serve of grapefruit and a nice citra note that lingers.  Touted as ‘aggressive’, the flavour begins quite smooth. For a triple IPA, the hops don’t blow you away, but the bitterness slowly builds over the fruity aroma. At 9.6% ABV, the hops mask the alcohol quite well.

Definitely one to be enjoyed.
