The newest member of the regular 4 Pines lineup is a style of beer I’m very fond of. A malt driven style pimped up with hops, American style.
Bottle. Pours a dark, but clear copper/ruby, with a perfectly formed mocha head and heavy lacing. Beer doesn’t look any better than this! Aromas of soft citrus flowers, light fruitcake and pear. Delicious roasted caramel malts, dried fruit mix (sultanas, raisin, glacé cherries) and a quite bitter finish full of berries and earthy hops. Well balanced, with a hint of roastiness throughout, yet relatively light and drinkable. I can definitely see this beer becoming a regular six-pack in the cellar (drink it cold, but not too cold).
