Brown ale, the gentle Englishman’s pint to wash down a ploughman’s platter or roast with Yorkshire pudding. Not something to think about or get too excited over. Well not this beer. This is a full on assault of a brown ale, Big Shed American style. At 75 IBU’s it kicks a lot of IPA’s arse and packs a whole heap of delicious malty goodness in between.

Bottle. Virtually black with a thin, off white/brownish head. Huge dark chocolate aromas, along with roasted coffee, earthy hops, biscuit and milk chocolate. Big, bold, bitter, dry hops, full of earth and pine flavour profiles, along with very dark, high cocoa chocolate. It’s bitter!! But still unmistakeably a brown ale at its core. Love it.
