Marrickville’s Sauce Brewing Co. are back with their latest offering, ‘Extra-Hop Sauce.’ Having launched on February 1 at Uncle Hops in Newtown and hitting the shelves only just last week, this West Coast-style IPA delivers the goods.
At 6.2% ABV, it is light in body, yet well-balanced, with a generous amount of hops. Upon sipping, notes of tropical fruit shine through and a memorable bitterness lingers. The malt is present and blends nicely without overpowering. From the can it pours golden in colour and the fruits again come to the fore through its striking aroma.
New on the scene in November 2016 and based in the inner-west, the guys from Sauce Brewing Co. look like they’re here to stay! Word has it that a new brewery (with a tasting room) is coming this year. I for one will be keen to pay a visit when they throw the doors open.
I’m a big fan of the ‘Extra-Hop Sauce’ and I look forward to seeing what these guys hit us with next.
