At Brews Buzz we love Kaiju! Beer! We love their quirky name – ‘strange creature’ in Japanese! We love their quirky exclamation mark! We love their even quirkier labels! We love the fact Monster Energy Drinks felt so threatened by a tiny little Victorian micro-brewery that they had to change their name from Monster Mash! But . . . . . . most of all we love their hopped out nectar from the Gods!

Bottle. Pours a deep amber red, with a big frothy cream head. The aroma is dominated by pine, citrus (grapefruit and lemon blossom) and spicy hops, but there’s a strong sense caramel malt that comes through also. Grapefruit pith and pine provides intense bitterness to begin, followed by more spicy hops and a deep, deep biscuit and caramel malt bill that adds layers of complexity, structure and balance. Finish it all off with some more earthy hops and you’ve got a wonderful beer (if not slightly over-carbonated).
