This beer won a silver medal for it’s packaging at last nights Australian International Beer Awards, but it’s whats inside that counts. And, like all of Modus Operandi’s beer, it’s good. It’s really good. They also picked up a gold medal for the Former Tenant Red IPA (previously reviewed by Brews Buzz) and best porter for their Silent Knight Porter (watch this space for an upcoming review of one of my favourite styles). Congratulations.

Can from the Robin Hood drive-thru. Quite clear amber/orange, with frothy white head and good lacing. Amazingly fresh hop aromas of peach, passionfruit, grapefruit, pine and a hint of weed. Bitter grapefruit and pine throughout the long palate, with supporting bread/biscuit malts and earthy back notes to balance all the hops. Another great beer from MO.
