If there is a better pale ale in Australia than Pirate Life Pale Ale, I’d like to know.
Can. Pours a rusty orange with a frothy white head. Huge tropical aromas of passionfruit, pineapple, mango and guava, plenty of grapefruit, hints of pine and biscuity malt backing. Deliciously bitter, hoppy palate, full of passionfruit, pineapple, grapefruit pith, a touch of pine and plenty of caramel malt to balance it.
At 50 IBU’s it’s reasonably bitter and it’s heading towards a lighter IPA, but this is a World Class beer. One of my favourite styles. One of my favourite beers.
