Weihenstephan Hefe Weissbier is the best hefeweizen in the world. Period. The Free State of Bavaria owned brewery has been doing it continuously since 1040, so they know a thing or two about combining water, malt (wheat and barley in this instance), hops and yeast.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, light straw with big frothy head. Pour it slowly, leaving the last 2cm in the bottle along with all the murky dead yeast. Heady aromas of banana, bubble gum, cloves and bread malts. The sweetness of banana and bubblegum yeast lead into a spicy wheat and clove middle and bready malt finish. Rich mouthfeel and highly carbonated as it should be. All of this leads to a deliciously refreshing beer, perfect with bratwurst and sauerkraut.
