A great play on the name of one of my favourite summer styles of beer often referred to as the Champagne of the North, due to its high carbonation and refreshing, light mouthfeel. Nomad are believers in using some of the fantastic native ingredients we have in Australia, and this beer uses a native lemongrass to add to the aroma.
Bottle. Pours a clear straw with a billowing white head that dissipates quickly into a thin film. Aromas of lemon blossom, grass, a touch of vinegar, lactose and a savoury element. Quite a mouth puckering sourness that moves into a bowl of fruit salad and finishes with spritzy lemon. Despite all the fruit there is a savoury underpinning towards the end and lively carbonation, which provides great drinkability and refreshment.
