Almanac Beer Company is a San Francisco, California contract brewery that makes farm-to-table beers in small batches using fruit, grains and herbs purchased from local family farms. This is their take on a sour, like really really sour.

Packed with lemon it’s brewed with Buddha’s Hand Citron, blood orange and yep lemon, meyer lemons to be exact. Poured a lemonade yellow with no head. Lemon on the palate with a very sour front and given it’s been aged in wine barrels a very soft smooth back end. Without doubt one of the most meticulously crafted sour blondes I’ve ever had. Hard to find and a bit pricey but you gotta spoil your taste buds every now and then. Faultless.
