@biglinx recommended this beer to me a couple of weeks ago and I wasn’t disappointed. A perfect autumn beer and a style I love. I might be heading down to Canberra for a couple of days in late June and this place will be very high on the agenda.
Can. Pours deep brown with a reddish tinge, a frothy cream head and good lacing. Subdued aromas of grapefruit and citrus flower hops, moving into subtle caramel malt. Quite a complex malt flavour profile when compared to the aroma. Sweet caramel dominates the front palate, moving into burnt toffee and roasted malts. There is an undercurrent of grapefruit to balance it however and a mid level bitter finish to clean up the sweetness.
