Fixation Brewing’s Obsession “session IPA” from my favourite IPA brewer, Tom from the home of the pies (boo go the swannies!). @fixationbrewing have been pumping out award winning IPAs since their foundation in 2015. After cutting his teeth at @stoneandwood Tom was green lighted to start his passion project, a brewery dedicated to making my favourite style of beer, IPAs! This can was generously donated by @fixationbrewing and we thank you very much again for gifting these to us to review, which is fitting on international IPA day!
Can pours a golden amber with a strong white frothy head, aromas of resinous pine and fruit. Nice carbonation on the pour with some decent lacing. Crisp and clean at the front of the palate the Munich malt is well refined and not over powering. Simcoe, Galaxy and Mosaic hops are the hero of this sub 5% highly sessionable IPA. It’s a really good IPA but the flavour is slightly compromised by the 4.6% abv but it’s still very enjoyable. Thanks again for the sample! Tim
